An A/R Specialist primarily monitors insurance claims by working the work queues and contacting insurance companies to resolve insurance claims that are not paid in a timely manner. Performs specialized duties for the team and assists the Assistant Manager and Manger with daily activities. Maintains a thorough knowledge of tasks performed in the department in order to fulfill the tasks.


  • Should have the ability to communicate effectively in writing, over the telephone and in person.
  • Initiates contact with patients and/or third party carriers if there is a delay in responding to statements or claims.
  • May process incoming and outgoing mails.
  • May receive incoming telephone calls and resolve issues communicated.
  • Records results of mail and telephone contacts on the computer billing system.
  • Contacts insurance carriers regarding non-payment and/or improper payment of claims.
  • Reviews denials
  • Interfaces with patients, physicians, and others regarding professional billing operations and funds.
  • To prioritize the pending claims for calling from the aging bucket. Should be able to convince the claims company (payers) for payment of their outstanding claims.
  • To make a physical call by following the international norms and applicable rules for confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required for procedures.
  • Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.
  • Work on all type of medical and auto claims and have to reimburse them in timeframe.


  • Must have Graduation/ Masters or equivalent.
  • Should have working knowledge of the entire Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
  • 2+ years of experience in the US Healthcare Industry.
  • Able to apply understanding of applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOX, HL7).
  • Has worked with Medicare/ Medicaid insurances.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change, work independently, organize work effectively and take initiative in fast-paced work environment while managing multiple tasks and deliverable simultaneously.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills and ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Excellent understanding of the importance of response times and importance of client service.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications (PC, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM) and good.
  • Must be passionate to work towards collective success through teamwork.
  • Someone who loves to work in the evening shift.

Note: Preference will be given to candidates from Hazara Division, KPK for this specific role.
